For Ruud van Sloun, I designed the cover for his thesis. His research focuses on three different methods of locating cancer cells in the vascular system using ultrasound. This immediately made me think of submarines detecting sea mines with sonar. In the design, the cancer cell is visualized as a sea mine, with the ultrasound revealing its shape and size.
