Elliot
The story follows Elliot, a character struggling with intense stage fright as he faces his deep-seated fears of dancing. This stop-motion short film, crafted during my graduation period at the St. Joost School of Art & Design in 2020, delves into themes of courage, self-discovery, and the transformative power of confronting one's anxieties.
Learning as I created
Making this film was a lot like the story itself, full of courage and self-discovery. I had to figure out most of the skills on my own, using a mix of online tutorials and blog posts to guide me. From molding the hands and building the sets to working with lighting and making clay face replacements, it was all a big learning process. I set up a little studio in my parents’ basement and got to work.
